Mani Ratnam places less importance on receiving an Oscar than directing his next movie.

Ponniyin Selvan, directed by Mani Ratnam, is slated to hit theatres this weekend. Mani Ratnam is preparing for its release. The filmmaker reportedly said that he only worries about what to direct next while speaking to the media at the event while the movie’s promotion was in full force.

All of the cast members express their gratitude to Mani Ratnam for giving them a part in the masterpiece, although the director has never spoken publicly about his plans or objectives. Mani Ratnam, the filmmaker, reportedly responded that he is “not sure” if he will ever make a film that is considered for the Oscars when asked about it at the promotional event.

Additionally, he disclosed that he had considered his ideal upcoming undertaking. In terms of work, Mani Ratnam has cast Kamal Haasan in his upcoming movie, provisionally titled “KH 2234.” According to sources, the movie will begin production in August 2024.
