Bangarraju: A Perfect And Engaging Family Entertainer

What occurs when elder Bangarraju’s (Nagarjuna Akkineni) soul enters the body of his grandson Bangarraju is the most entertaining section of Bangarraju, the sequel to Soggade Chinni Nayana (2016). (Naga Chaitanya). This is when the junior, who has inherited his grandfather’s charm, gains an extra swag and a smidgeon of worldly wisdom, and goes about his business with ease, whether it’s taking on opponents in action sequences or diplomatically resolving family feuds. In these scenes, the father-son duo is entertaining to behold; the theater erupts every time Nagarjuna looks at Chaitanya with pride. A usually restrained Chaitanya steps out of his comfort zone and has fun playing a flamboyant character.

With its plot of a family revenge drama enhanced by supernatural aspects, Bangarraju feels like a throwback to the 1980s and 1990s. With Lord Yama’s permission, Senior Bangarraju and his wife Satyabhama (Ramya Krishna) go between heaven and earth to assist their grandson, who is lonely and lost in a huge joint family. Nagarjuna and Ramya Krishna lend a vintage charm to the plot, and these characters are a piece of cake for them to play. Another plot line concerns the mysterious power housed in the village’s Shiva temple.
